Kings of Leon Cancel Bristow Concert Following Tour Bus Accident

Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill's tour bus accident over the weekend will force the band to cancel a number of shows including the Aug. 15 concert at Jiffy Lube Live.

"Nathan is on strict doctor’s orders to rest to give himself adequate time to recover before the band can pick back up on their much buzzed about Mechanical Bull Tour," Live Nation Director of Marketing & Promotions Jeremiah Xenakis said in a press release.

According to Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, Dr. Faiz Bhora, Followill needs to rest over the next two weeks.

“The process is now to rest in order for healing to take place. To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to August 28th is necessary," Bhora said.

Refunds for ticket holders will be available at point of purchase.

“I’m counting down the days until I can get back in the saddle and continue what has been our best American tour so far,” Followill said.

A pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus on their way to their hotel in Boston, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill.

"Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well," Xenakis said.
