On Saturday, October 27, from 8 am-4 pm, the Kingsbrooke community in Bristow will hold a Fall Festival and one mile “Haunt Jaunt” fun run. The run will begin at 8 a.m. at the Clubhouse on Braided Stream. Sign up opens at 7:30. There will also be vendors, food and activities for the kids, such as face painting, a pumpkin painting and McGruff the Crime Dog detective. At 2 pm there will be a kids and pet costume parade.

Bristow Center, the Harris Teeter shopping center off of Route 28/Linton Hall Road and Vint Hill Road, will hold a Trick or Treat event from 1- 3 pm. Take your children to visit the local stores and get a head start on trick or treating in a safe, friendly environment. Bull Run Plaza on Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas will be holding a similar event.

Dogs Gone Wild at Bristow Center will hold a pet adoption event from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. The adoption event was organized in cooperation with Paws for Seniors of Virginia, the organization that matches older dogs with elderly people. However, people of any (adult) age can adopt or foster these wonderful dogs. Dogs Gone Wild is also offering some promotional prizes.

This weekend, Vertical Climb in Manassas on Nokesville Road presents Boneyard Boulder Bash. It’s an eerie day and evening of competition and climbing open to all ages and skill levels. There will be prizes for each level. Register for the event here: http://climb-va.com/members?action=register
