Lately Bristow has shown an interest in white tablecloth restaurants.  ForNew Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, here is a list of great of fine dining and entertainment from Fauquier County to Washington D.C.

New Year’s Eve Along the Potomac 

For the biggest party in the DC Metro area, join the Downtown Countdown in Washington, DC at the Connecticut Avenue Washington Hilton. It features Group Love and G. Love & Special Sauce and partners DC101. Also enjoy premium open bars and dinner buffets. Dress is formal/black tie. Guests must be 21 or older. Tickets are $149 and up.

The Odyssey will offer dinner cruises along the Potomac for New Year's Eve, starting at $96.90 per person. Enjoy the three-hour cruise with a three-course meal, live music and holiday décor, plus beautiful views of the water and the city.

To ring in a peaceful New Year, try a date with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. Murry Sidlin presents with soprano Arianna Zukerman and pianist Stewart Goodyear. Prices range from $50-$90.

Come visit the National Harbor for  “Big Night DC” Eve celebration. Dance your way through seven clubs rooms: retro, featuring dance music from the 1970s through 1990s; hip hop; electronica; plus a Mardis Gras themed room, dining room and chill lounge. Tickets are $129.99 per person.

Closer to Home

Volcano Hot Stone Grill in Gainesville welcomes groups of 10-60 people looking for a festive holiday atmosphere, at a restaurant where food is grilled at right your table. Plus, enjoy holiday menu packages.

At Okra’s Cajun Creole in Old Town Manassas, enjoy the live music of Chris Rall, and celebrate New Years Mardi Gras style with wonderful Creole food and drinks in the New Orleans Creole-flavor restaurant.

Kid Friendly

For a dry/kid friendly New Year’s Eve Party attend First Night Warrenton. It’s a non-profit event sponsored by the Bluemont Concert Series. It features over 50 live performances at 11 locations, including bluegrass, folk music, storytelling, juggling and of course, rock & roll. Tickets are $10 and under. While you're there, eat and drink at a number of fine establishments.

New Year’s Day

Come to La Grange Winery in Haymarket to “wine down" the holiday season. They will be open for wine tasting on New Year’s in their historic estate setting. Sit beside the fire and taste a variety of fine Virginia wines.

Enjoy ice-skating on New Year’s Day at the Harris Pavilion in Old Town Manassas. It's a winter memory children and adults will both appreciate.
