While the wind is still howling and there may be a little snow crunching under your boots, take time to enjoy the culture offered indoors. It's a great time to come in from the cold to a concert hall, theater or even an indoor rock climbing facility.

Take your kids to enjoy Kids Friday Night on the Rocks. It is a night of climbing for kids ages 6-12 from 7-9 p.m at The Verticle Rock Climb on 10225 Nokesville Road in Manassas. For parents, it’s a Friday night to themselves. $15 per person.

Enjoy piano compositions? Would you like to attend a concert and a conversation? Attend Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel at 8 p.m. Hylton Performing Arts Center. He’ll dissert the works of Chopin as well as deliver an expressive performance.

The the Pushcart Players will perform this Russian folktale favorite, Peter and the Wolf, at 2 and 4 p.m. by at the Hylton Performing Art Center. Set to music by Prokofiev this is the story of a brave boy who takes on a pack of fierce wolves to save his friend. $15 for adults, $5 for children.

Learn more about the history of Prince William County. Take a Basement to Attic Tours of Liberia Plantation on 8601 Portner Avenue in Manassas at 11 a.m. sharp to 2 p.m. Commemorate Black History Month by learning about the people who inhabited the Liberia Plantation and the role that the property played in the Civil War. Tickets are $15 per person.
