Due to the treacherous conditions, the owners don't want any customers injuring themselves; so they have decided to close tonight and attempt to reopen in the morning if the parking lot is accessible.

While others in Northern Virginia are hunkering down for the mega-blizzard, Tom & Suzie’s NY Bagel Deli in Bristow Commons plans to stay open most of the night.
Owner Susan “Suzie” Badolato said she and her husband, Tom, plan to spend the night at their store, sleeping in shifts, so they could serve first responders who had to be out in the storm.
“The main reason we are staying open is because there are first responders out there and plow drivers, taking care of the roads for us,” Tom said. “They’re going to need something to eat, somewhere to stay warm, get a fresh bagel, get a sandwich. We figured we’d stay open to take care of them, police, fire fighters, and all the first responder, nurses and doctors. They’ve got to grab something to eat on the way to work. We’re looking to take care of the community that takes care of us.”
Tom said he and Suzie may not spend the entire night; it will ultimately depends upon how business goes. Also, it will depend upon if plows can keep up, clearing the parking lot so vehicles can get through.
Tom and Suzie are not encouraging anyone who is not already out to come out in the hazardous conditions, but they hope to serve those whose jobs require that they are already out, and they are in the immediate neighborhood.
“Two feet of snow is nothing for us, being up in New York. It’s not really a big deal for us here. The only thing for us is transportation,” Tom said.
By transportation he means that this is the first year that they do not own a four-wheel drive vehicles, but they have friends and neighbors who are helping them out.
