Showing support for their new neighborhood, MOD Pizza decided to donate the profits from their opening day to Patriot’s Booster Club.
Priscilla Nissley, a manager at MOD Pizza Gainesville, presented a large check to Dr. Michael Bishop, principal of the school, and representatives of the Patriot Booster Board at Patriot’s Feb. 5 Boys’ Basketball game.
Nissley said MOD Pizza tries to engage with all of its communities, and sometimes that means donating their first day profits.
“We do it at everyone one of our locations, but sometimes there isn’t the opportunity,” Nissley said.
In this case, Patriot High School reached out to them, and the management at MOD Pizza responded that they would absolutely love to work with them, especially since their Gainesville location is the first in all of Virginia.
“MOD Pizza really tries to be personable and really engage with our communities. We just opened our hundredth location, and it’s really awesome to know our company is impacting all of those areas whether on the east coast or the west coast.”
The money will go far for the Patriot Booster Club in helping to fund their school activities.
“The Patriot community would like to express their thanks to MOD Pizza for their generous gift,” John Boyes said.
MOD Pizza is located at 13941 Promenade Commons Street, Gainesville, Virginia, within the Virginia Gateway Promenade. MOD Pizza is a counter-serve chain that allows customers to design their own wood-oven pizzas.
