Arcadia Run Apartments, the newly-developed residential community on Wellington Road, will host a block party July 13 to showcase 30 local businesses.

“The Taste of Prince William Block Party, held July 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., will show off the best of what makes this community great,” property manager Renae Jones said. “It will host more than 30 local businesses and vendors and have tons of free food and drinks.”

The event is free and open to the public, Jones said.

Jones encourages families to participate, because the block party will feature a moon bounce, face painting and music. The Metropolitan Area Lego Train Club will also exhibit an 8 foot by 8 foot display.

“Grab some cotton candy, slide down the massive bounce house or check out some of the great clubs that you can join in the community,” she said.

Local band West on 66 will provide music for the event.

According to Jones, the block party will feature a variety of local businesses and organizations including the Nokesville Volunteer Fire Department, Top Choice Pet Care and Sweet Creations Frozen Yogurt. A complete list of participants is located here.

Arcadia Run will also sponsor a contest to win a $250 gift card. To enter, residents must “Like” Arcadia Run on Facebook and check back every day between July 8-12 to answer daily clues about local businesses. For each correct answer, participants can win a $25 gift card from a featured business and will be entered into the drawing for the $250 Visa gift card.

Jones would like to see the Taste of Prince William become an annual event.

“This is going to be an afternoon that is all about Prince William County, and we couldn’t be more excited,” she said.

Arcadia Run Apartments is located at 8401 Rosebay Lane, #124, Manassas, off of Wellington Road.
