Uptown Alley, the upscale entertainment venue, opened in the Manassas Mall Aug. 24 and held its grand opening on Sept. 29.

Uptown Alley features a full-service restaurant, bowling alley, arcade, two-story laser tag facility, three bars, a private party lounge and theater arena for live entertainment.

“This is a destination,” said Scott Stephens, executive vice president of Bendure Communications, explaining the venue has attracted people who had never been to Manassas before.

“They were blown away," Stephens said.

uptownalleyredembersUptown Alley was founded as a leading-edge entertainment concept for growing markets. The 45,730 square foot venue is intended to be a destination where adults, teens and children can gather. Challenging the concept of what casual entertainment can be, it adds modern sophistication to recreational activities such as bowling, billiards or video games.

The bowling alley is equipped with 24 Brunswick lanes, a state of the art scoring systems and numerous large projection screens. Lanes are divided into two distinct areas: one for families and one 21-and-over “Ultra-lounge,” with access to full bar service and billiards. The VIP lounge and several lanes can also be rented out for private parties.

Red Embers Bar & Grill is Uptown Alley's full-service casual dining restaurant. It features a chef-inspired menu, an open exhibition kitchen and outdoor patio with fireplace. The restaurant serves casual American cuisine such as specialty BBQ, pastas, burgers, salads and more. With 150 indoor capacity and 40 more seats outside, the restaurant can handle the weekend rush as well as host parties.

The “Rotunda,” one of three of Uptown Alley's bars completes the ambiance of the modern restaurant while serving handcrafted draft beers, a large selection of bourbons, liquors, wines and on-trend cocktails.

To the left of Red Embers is “the Arena” media/live entertainment room, which features a large stage with a professional sound system and a huge projection screen. A few weeks’ ago, Jimmy’s Buffett’s band, The Coral Reefer Band, performed there. The space can also accommodate private events up to 200 people.

The arcade at Uptown Alley is also sure to please both serious gamers and those who want a traditional arcade experience. New state-of-the-art first-person perspective games include realistic 3D graphics, physical movement and realistic sounds. Gamers earn tickets to purchase prizes at a ‘retail” store with large selection of premium merchandise such as Play Station 4 and other high-value items.

Soon, Uptown Alley will open its two-level laser tag facility offering an enhanced, modern laser tag experience.

Manassas is only the third location for Uptown Alley, which first opened in Surprise, Arizona and then in Richmond, Virginia. Uptown Alley hopes to be a destination not only for Manassas and Prince William residents but for all residents of the D.C. metro area and beyond.

Manassas Mall is happy to welcome Uptown Alley as part of their 2016 expansion.
