The Prince William Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 29th Annual Valor Awards ceremony on Wednesday, March  from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas. Sponsored by Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, this prestigious event honors local heroes from police, fire and rescue for their courageous and often lifesaving actions.

This year, for the first time, the public is invited to attend and hear tales of the valorous acts of the men and women in uniform representing Prince William County, the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park and even Quantico Marine Corps Base.

“The Prince William Chamber takes great pride in recognizing those who perform extraordinary acts of self-sacrifice and bravery in the line of duty. As leaders in the business community, we take this moment to pause and honor those who risk so much to protect our lives, our livelihoods and our quality of life,” said Chamber President & CEO Debbie Jones.

Valor Awards 2015 will be held at the beautiful Hylton Performing Arts Center at 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas. A reception will be catered by Okra’s Cajun Creole in the Didlake Foyer followed by the awards ceremony in Merchant Hall. Noelle Stanley, VOX Diva Productions, LLC will narrate the stories of bravery. The entire community is invited to join us in honoring deserving public servants including police fire, and rescue workers for their selfless acts of heroism and commitment to protecting our families, businesses and community.

This event is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $15 and include reception, ceremony attendance and a commemorative program featuring the inspirational stories of the Valor Awards recipients. To register, look for “Valor Awards” under the events tab on pwchamber.org, or call 703.368.6600.
