Patriot High School Wins Design Award

 The Virginia Chapter of the Council of Educational Facility Planners of the Virginia Department of Education  has awarded Prince William County Schools' newest high school, Patriot High School in Nokesville, the title of “Best New High School Design."
 The organization commended Prince William County Public Schools and Moseley Architects for the building's contemporary use of of glass and natural light as well as its consideration of how to best serve students, staff and the community.
 
A PWCS press release said, "Emphasizing the connection between the planning process and the end result—a healthy, high-performing school facility—these awards uniquely assess how well a school facility supports the academic program of the school district."
 
The school opened in September 2011 and serves 1700 students and 120 staff members.
