PWCS Nominates 31 Teachers for Teacher of the Year Awards

Prince William County Schools announced last week that 31 teachers have been submitted by local school staff and parents for the PWCS Teacher of the Year Award and The Washington Post Teacher of the Year Award.

"Nomination packets will be evaluated based on award criteria, including the teacher’s ability to instill in students a desire to learn and achieve; understand the individual needs of students; and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of subject matter, and have the ability to share it effectively with students," a PWCS spokesperson said.

Three teachers will be selected as Teachers of the Year at their respective school level; one will be selected for the Washington Post Award and the PWCS Teacher of the Year.

The following teachers were nominated:
