PWCS Offers Tdap Vaccines at KLC

School BusesIn order to attend school, rising sixth graders are required to obtain Tdap for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis; Prince William County Schools is offering shots at an Aug. 25 event at Kelly Leadership Center.

For $55, middle school students can get these vaccines from a qualified NextCare personnel at the event.

"Virginia law now requires all sixth-grade students, regardless of age, to have the vaccine prior to starting class. If preferred, shots may be obtained from a doctor, military clinic, or the Prince William Health District," a school division spokesperson said. "Bring proof of vaccination to your student’s middle school as soon as possible."

The event is held 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the Kelly Leadership Center, 14715 Bristow Road, Manassas

Students must bring a completed authorization form signed by a parent/guardian, which is located here.
