Registration is taking place now for an 8-week session that begins Oct. 16 at Northern Virginia Community College.

According to Carlene Mackereth, Public Information Office for Northern Virginia Community College, students may enroll 24 hours a day at or in person at one of NOVA’s six campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield or Woodbridge.

“Courses in the 8-week session cover the same material and award the same credits as semester-long classes,” Mackereth said, adding, “NOVA offers day, evening, weekend and online courses to make it easy for students to schedule classes around work and other responsibilities.”

For even more flexibility, online courses offered through NOVA’s Extended Learning Institute begin at multiple times throughout the year.

However, students are not sacrificing quality of education as the Extended Learning Institute has been nationally recognized as a leader in distance learning with more than three decades of experience.

Plus the price is right.

“NOVA’s in-state tuition is the best educational value in the area and many students qualify for financial aid to help pay tuition and buy books,” Mackereth said.
