Routine Drug Searches Conducted at Local Middle Schools

Prince William County Police reported that no drugs were found when their K-9 and school resource units searched Gainesville Middle School in Gainesville and Bull Run Middle School in Haymarket Feb. 3.

A spokesperson for  police reported that the drug searches were routine and not in response to any public concerns.

Generally, students are sheltered in place and classroom instruction continues during K-9 searches.
