Posted

School BusesThe Virginia Board of Education will hold a series of public hearings in July and August to gather feedback on student expectations, how schools are accredited and school resources.

The Board of Education will hold one locally Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Osbourn High School Auditorium located at 9005 Tudor Lane, Manassas.

This is the only public meeting the Board will hold in Northern Virginia this summer. The others are being held in Williamsburg, Abingdon and Lynchburg.

Residents are encouraged to attend and share their ideas.

“Families, educators and community members have an opportunity to share their big ideas and suggestions with us during several public hearings across Virginia this summer,” said Superintendent of Public Instruction, Steven R. Staples. “These projects are still in the development stage, so input from the public will help us craft specific plans for success and accountability.”

For more information on the hearing presentation is available here.

Speakers are asked to sign in upon arrival and limit their comments to three minutes.
