There will be a peaceful, non-partisan Vigil for Charlottesville, Aug. 14 at 7:30 in Clareybrook Park in Bristow.

The event will honor the deceased Heather Heyer, 32, of central Virginia, killed by an alleged white nationalist who drove his car through a crowd of counter protesters; Lt. H. Jay Cullen, 48, of Midlothian, and Trooper-Pilot Berke M.M. Bates, 40, of Quinton, who died in a helicopter crash, responding to the incident.

The vigil will acknowledge the injured, be a call for unity and an end bigotry and violence.

Clareybrook Park is located at 10179 Sir Reynard Lane in Braemar (20136).

The vigil is family-friendly, nondenominational.
