School Resource Officers Schedule Safety Presentations

The Prince William County Police School Resource Officer Unit invites the public to a presentation on school safety issues at Patriot High School Sept. 24.

According to a press release, the hour-long presentation will consist of videos and lectures from police officers and representatives of the Commonwealth's attorney's office. The presenters will take questions from the audience at the end.

The presentations, which are geared toward teens, will include topics such as:

• Bullying
• Texting/Using Cell Phones
• Assault & Battery/Harrassment
• Threats by Electronic Means
• Larceny
• Internet Safety
• Cyber Bullying
• Sexting

Prior to the Patriot High School presentation, there is one scheduled Sept. 19 at Hylton High School, located at 14051 Spriggs Road, Woodbridge.

Both presentations begin at 7 p.m.
