Prince William County Police charged a 15-year-old male of Manassas Feb. 11 with abduction with intent to defile after attempting to bar a 18-year-old Manassas woman from leaving his home.
According to the victim, an unknown male approached her while walking in the 8100 block of Winstead Place.
"During the encounter, the accused invited the victim to go with the accused to his residence; upon entry into the residence, the accused locked the door and prevented her from leaving," police spokesman Officer Perok said.
The victim was able to flee the residence after convincing the accused to open the door.
"The accused was located by police at his residence and arrested without incident," Perok said. "No injuries were reported."
The court date for the suspect was not released; he is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
