4-Year-Old Boy Calls Police; Bristow Mother Charged with Felony Child Neglect

A 4-year-old boy contacted police Wednesday morning to tell them he was alone and hungry. An investigation revealed that Love Sonia Altagracia Polanco Franklin, 43, of Bristow had left her son alone inside the residence for about two hours. "Officers arrived at the residence [on Frank Haskell Court] and located the child who was found to be home alone," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "The mother of the victim, identified as the accused, eventually returned home as officers were still on scene." Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and with felony child neglect. A court date is currently unavailable; police released the suspect on personal recognizance.
