Prince William County Police responded Oct. 26 to a residence located in the 6800 block of Specialized Trail in Gainesville for a report of a burglary.
According to the homeowner, the burglary occurred between 2 p.m. Oct. 25 and 12:30 a.m. Oct. 26.
"The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door."
Police reported a MacBook missing.
