While an autopsy revealed no trauma to the infant who died under the care of two women who were running an unlicensed day care in Bristow, a search warrant filed by police revealed details of the death of 3-month old Teagan Sample.

Documents reveal that several infants were under the care of Yolanda Larin, who noticed "a small amount of saliva coming out of the corner of Teagan Sample's mouth.” Furthermore, Larin noticed the baby was turning blue, so she called 911. The infant was taken to the hospital where medical staff pronounced her dead.

According to the Warrant, police seized a number of items related to the investigation from 13200 Sapphire Ridge Place.

Yolanda Gracelia Larin, 50, of Manassas and Mirna Mendez, 42, were charged with five counts of child endangerment while operating an unlicensed daycare facility. Larin and Mendez have only been charged in reference to the daycare operation. No charges have been filed in the child's death.

According to police sources, medical examiners are awaiting toxicology to determine a cause of death.
