Following a four-month food drive, the Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Foundation collected $1,455 and 1,600 food and non-food items for local charitable organizations.

All proceeds and donations were distributed to The Fauquier Food Coalition, Haymarket Food Pantry and the Marshall School Lunch Program.

"Our staff, patients, and community collaborators are kind-hearted and wonderful, without them, we could not accomplish our goal of giving back to those most in need, it’s such a good feeling to know families will have food on the table this Thanksgiving Holiday” said Jeff Hollis, CEO.

According to Blue Ridge Orthopaedic and Spine Center Marketing Specialist Sarah Crandall, donations from Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center, Dominion Internal Medicine, Fauquier ENT & Urological Associates of the Piedmont, The Warrenton Aquatic Facility, and Linton Hall School contributed to the success of the drive.

"With monies raised, 1,200 additional nonperishable food items were purchased and distributed as well," Crandall said.

BROF was established in 2012 as the philanthropic arm of Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center. The foundation’s purpose is to provide financial support to as many local non-profit organizations possible. Residents can visit BROFoundation.org for more information.
