Board Requests Installation of Warning Signs in Community

Signage cautioning motorists are visible throughout Bristow's family-oriented communities. The Board of County Supervisors will request the VDOT to install "Watch for Children" signs in the New Bristow Village Community.
The  Board of County Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution at the Feb. 7 meeting to direct the Virginia Department of Transportation to install "Watch for Children" signs throughout the New Bristow Village Community. These signs, which will alert motorists that children are playing near a secondary roadway, will be installed on Battalion Square, Bristow Village Boulevard, Infantry Lane and Iron Bridge Unit Avenue. The BoCS resolution indicates that County allocations for secondary construction will  fund installation and maintenance of the signs. VDOT will determine the number and exact location of the  signs.
