While investigating a shooting March 18, Prince William County Police discovered the body of an adult male in the area of Blue Gray Circle in Manassas, which is across the street from Bull Run Plaza.
At 10 p.m. Friday, Police discovered the body of the unidentified male in the course of an active investigation of a shooting; officers initially located an individual suffering from a gunshot wound in the 11200 block of Golden Leaf Circle.
"The individual was later transported to an area hospital for his injuries," Officer Steven R. Mattos Jr. said. "During the initial investigation, it was determined that the shooting actually occurred in the area of Blue Gray Circle."
While canvassing that location, officers located the body of an adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
No further details, including the actual cause of death, have been released.
"The investigation continues and additional information will be released once it is made available," he said.
