Prince William County Police charged Steven Alan Taylor, 41, of Bristow, with assault & battery on a law enforcement officer, assault & battery and public intoxication at the Jason Aldean concert at Jiffy Lube Live, Saturday.

According to police, Taylor approached three juveniles who were attending the concert.

"During the encounter, the accused placed his arms around the female juveniles and attempted to dance with them," police spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Perok said.

The victim, a 17-year-old male from Audie, attempted to intervene and separate Taylor from his friends.

"At that point, the accused struck the victim in the face," Perok said.

Following the incident, off-duty detail assignment officers located the suspect nearby and attempted to detain him.

"When officers went to handcuff the accused, he lifted his leg and kicked one of the officers in the lower body," he said. "The accused became increasing combative and was eventually escorted away from the concert."

Minor injuries were reported.

Taylor's court date is Nov. 16, 2016; bond information was not released.
