UPDATED: Missing Bristow Teen Found Dead; Ruled Suicide

Prince William County Police announced Wednesday the cause of  Christopher James Owens’ death was suicide.

“Based on the autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office Oct. 27, the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot injury and the manner of death was ruled a suicide,” police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Perok said.

Prince William County Police reported that the body of Christopher James Owens, 15, of Bristow has been located Monday afternoon.

"We are investigating the cause of death," police spokesperson Officer Nathaniel Probus said.

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing, endangered juvenile, Christopher James Owens.

According to the PWPD, the investigation revealed that Christopher was last seen at his residence, the 10100 block of Banchory Crest in Bristow, October 24.

"Christopher is believed to have left his residence voluntarily and may be in need of assistance which qualifies him as being endangered," said Public Information Officer, Sergeant Jonathan Perok.

Christopher may also be riding an ATV which was missing from the residence.

Anyone with information on Christopher’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 703-792-6500.

Christopher James Owens is described as a white male, 15 years of age, 5'6", 150 pounds with red hair, hazel eyes and two scars on his neck

He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with Under Armor written on the front, blue jeans and brown boots.

The parents of Bristow teen Christopher Owens are asking residents for help finding their son, a Brentsville High School student, who has been missing since Saturday night.

According to Tara Hall Owens, he was last seen in Bristow 6 p.m. Saturday driving a Brute Force ATV.

"Christopher we LOVE you and want home safely," she posted on Facebook.

She asks residents to contact police at 703-792-5111 option 2 if they have information about his whereabouts.
