Prince William County Police responded to the area of George Hellwig Memorial Park in Bristow for an attempted abduction on June  19 at 7:19 p.m.

According to police spokesperson Ericca Figueroa, a 19-year-old Bristow woman reported that she was approached by an unknown black male while she was walking her dog. The man offered the victim a drink of water and a ride to her residence.

However, when she refused, “she was pushed against a tree and grabbed by the arm. The victim slapped the man in the face and her dog bit the man on the ankle,” said Figueroa.

The police reported that the victim was able to escape and run from the area; she was not injured in the attack.

The man fled on foot prior to the arrival of the police and attempts to locate the man were unsuccessful.

Perok said they are looking for a black male, between 30 and 40-years old, 6 feet 5 inches, 300 lbs with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt with a diamond.
