Prince William County Police responded to Bristow's first reported residential burglary of 2016 Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, individuals entered a home in the 13100 block of Flynn Court and stole a laptop and a firearm.
"The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home," police spokesman Officer Nathan Probus said.
The homeowner said the burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.
The last reported burglary occurred Dec. 28, 2015.
