'Celebration of Life' Ceremony Scheduled for Bristow Wing Walker

Posted

While no funeral details have been made public for Bristow resident Jane Wicker, who died last Saturday during a wing walking stunt in Dayton, a "Celebration of Life" is scheduled for 2 p.m., July 9 at the Flying Circus Aerodrome in Bealeton.

Organizers announced that the ceremony will take place at the location where Wicker and her pilot Charlie Schwenker often performed.

"For those wishing to fly in for the celebration, you should flight-plan for Warrenton Fauquier County Airport (KHWY) located a couple of miles from the Aerodrome," they said. "We will have transportation available to and from the airport all day."

In lieu of flowers, Wicker's family has requested that donations be made in Jane’s memory to the ICAS Foundation Family Fund to help ICAS members who may be in need. Supporters can make online contributions at www.icasfoundation.org or send checks made payable to the ICAS Foundation, to  ICAS, 750 Miller Dr. SE, Suite F3, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
