Centreville Man Assaulted at Balls Ford Road McDonald's

The Prince William County Police Department responded Jan. 11 to the McDonald's, located at 10730 Balls Ford Road in Manassas, to investigate an assault and attempted robbery.

According to police, at 12:56 a.m. two men attempted to steal a laptop computer from a 49-year-old Centreville man when he left his table at the restaurant to go to the restroom. “Upon returning to his table, he observed an unknown man attempt to walk away with his laptop computer,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. “The victim confronted the man, who was with a group of other males, and a physical altercation ensued.”

One of the men restrained the victim, while another man assaulted him.

“The group dispersed prior to police arrival in two separate red sedans,” Perok said.

The victim sustained minor injuries. 

Police describe the assailant as a white male with a medium build, between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches, 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a long black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

They are also looking for a black male, between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches, 150 lbs with a medium build; he was last seen wearing a tan vest, blue jeans and glasses.
