Chipotle Comes to Bristow Center

Bristow residents will no longer have to make the trek down Linton Hall to dine at Chipotle Mexican Grillthe Rappaport Companies confirmed that they have signed the chain as a tenant at Bristow Center.

According to Rappaport Senior Marketing Manager Meghan L. Murphy, Chipotle will open a 2400 square foot location in the lower tier of the center, close to the water fountains.

Susan Bourgeois of Rappaport represented the landlord and Kelly Silverman of Streetsense represented Chipotle, she said.

While no opening date has been announced, a source said it would be in 2016.

Despite a recent E. coli outbreak that was traced back to Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants nationwide, the restaurant chain has put comprehensive new food safety programs in place to  prevent future incidents.

“Over the last few months, we have been implementing an enhanced food safety plan that will establish Chipotle as an industry leader in food safety,” Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle said. “Most of the new protocols are already in place, thanks to the hard work and dedication our excellent restaurant teams. Additionally, we have implemented unprecedented food safety standards with our suppliers, which make the food coming into our restaurants safer than ever before.”
