Domestic Assault, Reckless Driving Reported in Haymarket

HD-car-door-1-300x195The Haymarket Police investigated two incidents last week.

Police responded to the area of 15000 Washington Street Friday for a report of a domestic assault, which occurred earlier that day.

"On arrival, they met with the adult female victim who stated that her boyfriend had grabbed  her leaving multiple marks and bruises," Police Chief Eric Noble said.

He said the victim was escorted to the Magistrates Office where a warrant was obtained against the suspect.

Police also charged an individual for driving 115 mph on I-66. Nov. 20. at 6:19 a.m.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and the driver was subsequently charged with Reckless Driving, he said.
