This election cycle, Commonwealth Attorney Paul Ebert has earned the endorsements of both The Police Association of Prince William and Prince William retired Chief of Police Charlie Deane.

Patric R. Quinn of The Police Association of Prince William County wrote, “this endorsement is for his [Paul Ebert’s] commitment to the citizens of Prince William County and his support of the police of Prince William County.”

Former Chief Charlie Deane’s endorsement referenced Ebert’s years of experience as and applauded Ebert's effectiveness as Prince William's Commonwealth Attorney.

"The extensive knowledge and trial experience held by Paul Ebert cannot be overstated. Prince William County is very fortunate to have such an effective leader in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney."

He noted Ebert successfully prosecuted complex and high-profile cases.

“He has built a solid foundation by skillfully and professionally prosecuting some of the most heinous, complex and highly-publicized crimes of our times. Paul Ebert has proven over a long and distinguished career in public service to Prince William County that he is a leader among his peers in Virginia and the United States.”

Deane asserted that Ebert is fair and inclusive in his methods and hiring practices.

Paul Ebert built a sound reputation by adapting to the ever-changing world of law enforcement in the 21st century and by working with victims and advocating for the rights that all victims deserve. He continues to attract and train his diverse staff to use common sense and to apply fair and reasonable standards when making important prosecutorial decisions. These decisions, which often have a tremendous impact on individual victims and the fabric of our community, require the high level of transparency and accessibility provided by Mr. Ebert’s office.

Deane concluded, saying, “Paul Ebert has always been a steadfast partner to law enforcement and is a true leader in his profession. I strongly endorse his reelection as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince.”
