Photo Courtesy of Prince William County SchoolsPrince William County Police responded to Tyler Elementary School in Gainesville Friday afternoon to address an emotionally disturbed female at the school.
"Officers located her and everything is fine," police spokesman Jonathan Perok said. "There won’t be charges since no crime was committed."
As a precautionary measure, the school was placed in lockdown mode.
All student are safe.
Parents received a letter from the school administration:
We implemented lockdown protocols to secure the building from unauthorized entry. We immediately advised you of the situation through email, social media, and website notifications and updates.
