Four Juveniles Arrested in Connection to Diaz Murder

Four more arrests were made Tuesday in connection with the murder of Woodbridge teen Kenny Diaz.

The Violent Crimes Bureau arrested four juvenile males, acquaintances of Diaz, three* of whom accompanied him to the residence of Diandra Samuels, the young woman who allegedly stabbed him to death at Marumsco Area Lake Park in Woodbridge.

“The four juveniles arrested were all 16-year-old males of Woodbridge,” said Prince William County Police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok. “All have been charged with attempted armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.”

According to the police, it was after the boys fled that Samuels, associates and neighbors allegedly abducted Diaz, driving him to Marumsco where he was later found bleeding from stab wounds to his stomach on Sept. 21.

Because of the ages of the accused young men, police are not releasing their names.

“All were held at the juvenile detention center,” Perok said.

Diandra Samuels was arrested on murder charges, while five of her acquaintances were arrested on abduction charges early this week. Then two more of Samuels' acquaintances were arrested for abduction on Sept. 24.

These are the first arrests of Diaz's acquaintances involved in the confrontation.

* Prince William Police released a statement after publication of this article clarifying that one of the juvenile's did not accompany the others to Samuel's residence.
