Four Teens Rob Four Teens in Gainesville

policecrusierclosePrince William Police charged three out of four local teens who allegedly committed a strong-armed robbery in Gainesville the afternoon of March 29.

According to police, the teens accosted four Gainesville teens, who were walking in the area of the 14700 block of Soapstone Drive in Gainesville

"The investigation revealed that the victims, a 15-year-old male and three 14-year-old-males---all of Gainesville, were walking in the area above when they were approached by four other male juvenile suspects," police spokesman Jonathan Perok said. "During the encounter, the juvenile suspects threatened the victims and ordered them to empty their pockets."

Perok said after the victims surrendered cell phones, money and other property, the suspects fled on foot. None of the teens were injured.

"The suspects were observed by a county park ranger and officers were able to detain three of the suspects without incident," Perok said.

Following the investigation, police charged a 16-year-old male of Haymarket, a 16-year-old-male of Gainesville and a 14-year-old male of Gainesville with four counts of robbery and four counts of conspiracy to commit a felony

"The investigation continues as detectives work to identify and charge the remaining suspect," he said.

The court date for the suspects is pending.
