Funeral for Fallen Police Officer Scheduled for Tuesday

Prince William County Police announced that the funeral for Officer Ashley Guindon will be held Tuesday, March 1.

Guindon was killed in the line of duty Saturday evening, while responding to a domestic call at a residence in Woodbridge.

The service will be held at Hylton Memorial Chapel, 14640 Potomac Mills Road in Woodbridge at 12 p.m., viewing begins at 10 a.m.

"The general public is welcomed to attend; however, if there are space limitations, we would like to give priority to fellow law enforcement and government officials," police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Perok said in a press release.

Perok said the department is also working to have the service live-streamed; further information will be provided when available.

"We will have crowds and speakers outside for overflow attendance," he said.
