Gainesville Man Charged with Attempting to Bite Police Officer

Following a disorderly call at a residence in the 12800 block of Thornton Drive in Catharpin Oct. 19, Prince William County Police charged Brian Edward Lisi, 38, of Gainesville with attempted assault & battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and intoxication in public.

According to police, an acquaintance of Lisi called police to report that he was intoxicated and refusing to leave the residence.

Officers first encountered Lisi outside of the home.

"The accused was placed under arrested and refused to cooperate with police," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "At one point, the accused attempted to bite one of the officers on the hand; no contact was made, and no injuries were reported."

Police eventually detained the accused without further incident.

Lisi's court date is Dec. 2, and he is held without bond.
