Gainesville Woman Killed in King George Accident

police-sirensWSMV reported that Katelyn Kipp, 26, of Gainesville was killed 2 a.m. Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Caledon Road in King George, Va.

According to the Virginia State Police, all four occupants of the 2001 Toyota pickup truck were ejected from the vehicle when “it ran off the road to the left, overcorrected to the right and overturned approximately four times before coming to rest.”

The report said police are investigating speed and alcohol as possible factors in the accident.

Emergency crews transported Kipp to Mary Washington Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

None of the occupants were wearing seat belts police said.

Charges in the crash are pending.

Police have not released the name of the driver of the vehicle, who sustained serious injuries.
