Group of Masked Men Forcibly Enter Residence, Steal Electronics

Prince William Police responded Feb. 20 to a report of a burglary in progress in the 7500 block of Margate Court in Manassas.

According to the homeowner, a group of seven or eight masked individuals, one reportedly armed with a handgun, forcibly entered her home and stole several laptops, two gaming consoles, an iPad, as well as multiple pairs of shoes.

“Three of the men fled the residence and got into a vehicle while the remaining suspects fled on foot,” police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

The homeowner was able to provide a description of the vehicle to police.

“Officers located the vehicle traveling in the area of Dumfries Road and Purcell Road and conducted a traffic stop,” Perok said. “The three occupants were subsequently detained and arrested.”

Police charged Deondre Demond Lanier, 19, of Woodbridge and Khardrion Tavarie Gardner, 19, of Quantico with burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and using a firearm in commission of a felony.

A 16-year-old male was also charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and using a firearm in commission of a felony.

The court date for all the suspects is April 17. The two men are being held without bond. Police are holding the teen at the Juvenile Detention Center

“This incident does not appear to be random,” Perok said.
