Prince William County Police charged Dominic Arthur Gorriaran, 18, of Bristow Oct. 3, with attempted aggravated malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

An investigation revealed that Gorriaran shot into a residence in the 9800 block of Dochart Sound Lane in Bristow following a failed drug transaction between him, a 16-year-old male of Bristow and another male acquaintance.

"The two reportedly went to an area church parking lot to purchase marijuana from the accused and other known acquaintances," police spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Perok said. "During the transaction, the 16-year-old allegedly paid for the marijuana with counterfeit money."

According to Perok, Gorriaran and three other suspects went to the juvenile's home on Dochart Sound Lane to confront him over the money.

"At one point, the accused fired into the home, striking an interior wall," Perok said. "No one was injured."

Additional charges are forthcoming.

The suspect's court date is Nov. 24 and he is held without bond.

Police said there is no apparent connection between this incident and the stabbing incident on the same street Sept. 19.
