Virginia State Del. Robert G. "Bob" Marshall, Del. John Bell, Sen. Richard Black and Sen. Richard Stuart, all of whom represent the Haymarket area, sent the attached letter to the State Corporation Commission this afternoon in opposition to the SCC hearing officer's recommendation that the SCC accept the Carver Road route for the Haymarket 230 kV Transmission line.
"We stand in solidarity with the residents of Haymarket in opposition to any route but the underground Hybrid I-66 route," said Marshall. "We hope that the SCC will accept the recommendations of the thousands of Haymarket residents, local elected officials and their own staff to select the Hybrid route and have Amazon pay for their own extension cord."
