Haymarket Woman Charged with DUI Following Domestic Dispute in Car

HD-car-door-1-300x195Haymarket Police arrested a Haymarket woman on charges of Driving Under the Influence, Unreasonable Refusal of a breath/blood test and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, after police stopped the vehicle for a reported domestic dispute in a moving vehicle.

According to Haymarket Police Chief Eric Noble, police located the vehicle at 7:36 p.m. exiting I-66 at Route 15; the traffic stop was conducted at Route 15 and Lightner Road.

"On interviewing both the driver and her 14-year-old daughter, the officers developed suspicion that the driver was intoxicated," Noble said.

Police conducted a series of field sobriety tests and arrested the suspect.

"The daughter was transported home and turned over to an older sibling and grandmother," he said.

Police did not release the name of the suspect.
