IHOP Manager Assaulted Following Fight in Manassas Mall Restaurant

Three unknown men assaulted a manager of the Manassas Mall IHOP after he intervened in an early morning fight at the restaurant Saturday.

The victim, a 40-year-old Springfield man, told police that the fight had broken out inside the restaurant. However, after escorting two individuals from the premises, one of them, an unknown female, returned.

"When the victim attempted to escort this individual from the restaurant a second time, three unknown men approached and began to assault him," police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Minor injuries were reported."

According to Perok, the suspects fled the scene police arrived at establishment.

"The victim was unable to describe the assailants," he said.
