The legacy of French-inspired cuisine won't live on in the space formerly occupied by Mimi’s Cafe.
According to Virginia Gateway developer the Peterson Companies, La Madeleine will not lease the 7,554 square foot building located on Linton Hall Road.
Group Le Duff, who owns both the Mimi’s Cafe and La Madeleine brands, had originally planned to renovate and open the Gainesville location in fall 2015.
Mimi’s Cafe closed it’s Gainesville location November 2014 citing cost-cutting considerations throughout the chain.
The company did not respond to questions about the decision.
Peterson Companies has not not announced any plans for the future of the space.
