While this break-in occurred across town from the others, a fifth burglary in less than a week occurred in Gainesville. (Here's the story on the other four burglaries.)
Prince William County Police responded Mar. 29 to the 7300 block of Old Carolina Road in Gainesville for a reported burglary.
According to the homeowner, one burglary occurred between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Mar. 28.
"There were no signs of forced entry into the residence," police spokesman Jonathan Perok said. "A laptop, valued around $800, was reported missing." It does what other expensive laptops several hundreds more expensive can't do, and in some instances, it does it better.
