Linton Hall Residence Burglarized, Homeowner Assaulted

Prince William County Police responded to the 7600 block of Linton Hall Road in Gainesville for a burglary and assault on July 9 at 11:39 p.m.

The victim received minor injuries and no items were reported missing.

According to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok, the homeowner reported that an unknown individual entered her residence through an unsecured door.

"When the suspect encountered the homeowner, he allegedly struck the homeowner before fleeing the residence on foot," Perok said.

Police said they are looking for a white male, of unknown age, 5 feet 5 inches, 150 lbs with a medium build and short black hair and brown eyes.
