The 1996 Ford F-25 that April Campbell of New Baltimore gave to her daughter last year as a graduation present was stolen from the Sheehy Ford of Warrenton parking lot Monday.

"The transmission needed to be repaired and my husband and a co-worker were going to be working on it soon, so my oldest daughter Ashley could start driving it again," she said.

However, she explained that Jimmy noticed the truck was missing from the side of the building Monday night.

The keys were not left in the truck and her husband speculates that an individual(s) could have broken the ignition switch to start the vehicle.

Campbell said four brand new tires were put on the truck for her daughter's graduation present.

"Ashley is devastated; she loved driving her truck," Campbell said. "Her graduation tassel was hanging on review mirror from Brentsville High School; she graduated in 2014."

Campbell said the two-door, red and white, diesel truck has an extended cab. It has been used to plow and is "in decent shape," with a small hole in the passenger grill and it has very little rust.

"The molding on driver side is missing a pink deer,  browning, and summit decal in the back window," she said. "The top of tailgate had some damage from the salter being attached."

The vehicle's license plate number is XNB 2551 (expires Aug. 31, 2015)

The Campbells are waiting for the dealership to review surveillance tapes.

"A few people that they saw a truck like it and the area," she said.

Anyone with information relating to this case should contact the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office at (540) 422-8600.
