UPDATE: Local Man Arrested in Gainesville Mobile Home Arson Case

The case has been dismissed and the accused's record has been expunged. 

Thursday, the Prince William Fire Marshal arrested the individual believed to responsible for the May 1, 2015, fire at a recreational vehicle/mobile camper storage lot on Livingston Road in Gainesville.

That fire was responsible for the destruction of multiple recreational vehicles.

According to Kim Hylander, Communications Specialist for the Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue, Prince William County Fire Marshals arrested a Gainesville man on five counts of arson to personal property. As the property is valued greater than $200, it qualifies as a class four felony.

Each charge carries a maximum penalty of a term of imprisonment of no less than two years and not more than 10 years. Additionally, the accused is subject to a fine of no more than $100,000.

The accused was released on a $10,000 secured bond to be arraigned in Prince William County General District Court June 8, 2015. The preliminary hearing for this case is scheduled for July 7.

The case has since been dismissed and expunged. The name and address of the excused have been expunged.
