Prince William County Police arrested Daniel Moses Cicirello, 19, of Bealeton on a number of charges stemming from an abduction of an 18-year-old Midland woman in the Sowder Village Square Target parking lot Saturday.

According to police, Cicirello and an 18-year-old woman of Midland were involved in an argument that escalated.

“During the encounter, the accused became agitated and victim locked herself in her vehicle and called 9-1-1. At that point, the accused broke out the driver’s side window and pulled the victim from the vehicle,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. “The accused took the victim’s phone and disconnected from 9-1-1 before he forced her into his own vehicle.”

After a struggle, the victim was able to remove the keys and escape from his vehicle. The accused then exited his own vehicle and returned to the victim’s vehicle to

chase after her.

“At that point, officers were arriving at the location. The vehicle initially failed to stop for the officers and almost struck a police cruiser,” he said.

Officers followed Cicirello in the parking lot and took him into custody after he finally surrendered to police.

Police reported minor injuries to the victim.

Police charged the suspect with abduction by force, grand larceny, unauthorized use of a vehicle, destruction of property, obstructing a victim from calling 911, and felony eluding.

Cicirello’s court date is unavailable and he is being held without bond.
